The University of Beira Interior, having as main objective the restoration and upgrading of History and Archaeology of the City of Covilhã, first reconverted Marques Factory, at the city entrance , the POLO 1 – Main Core.
Later on the slopes, near the river of Carpinteira,converts the old Factory of Ernesto Cruz in Polo 4 – Social Sciences and Humanities.
